Heartbreak for Parkway as they are undone at the death

Having played just once in the past four weeks due to opponent cup involvement or storms, Parkway were on the road again for the fourth successive match and hoping to extend their four-game unbeaten run.

Parkway fielded two changes from their most recent match at nearby Gosport with Dylan Jones returning from his two-week Brentford trial and Taylor Scarff back in the centre of defence following his hamstring injury. Rio Garside was serving a one-game suspension and James Watts-Barciela dropped to the bench. Sholing were unchanged from their eye-catching 4-1 win at Bracknell Town last time out.

On a very cold day in Southampton, the hosts began on the front foot and on three minutes, Sholing thought they had gone ahead when Michael Folivi, who scored all four on his debut last week, played in Dan Mason, who finished well only to be flagged offside. Two minutes later, the same players combined well again and a powerful low strike by Folivi was well saved by Ewan Griffiths low down to his right.
