A MAN who was once homeless in Plymouth and was forced to flee, after fearing for his life, has died.
An inquest heard Rajah Rajenthiran became isolated after being forced to leave behind his family and friends in Canada two decades ago, because he was not granted permanent residency.
Due to being so lonely, the 65-year-old turned to alcohol and tragically passed away just after reaching an age when he could return home to his family. An inquest at Exeter County Hall last week heard how Mr Rajenthiran was born in Sri Lanka and later emigrated to Canada in 1984 to flee a war in his home country.
Mr Rajenthiran went on to have two daughters and opened businesses and had several jobs, ranging from a mechanical engineer to spray painter.
