Following this, Legends had two boxers compete at the Torbay ABC home show held at the Torbay Rugby centre. This unfolded as the Legends ABC team formally challenged the current holder of the Western Counties belt held by Camborne ABC's experienced Cory Wildman.
Drew Boulton, of Legends, stepped up the distance in his first 3x3 minute round clash and outworked the more experienced Cornish boxer, securing a win and taking home the challenge belt by decision, all while fuelling a roaring home crowd.
Next in line was Xain King, faced with another Cornish boxer. Xain boxed to instruction and dominated from the first bell, leaving his opponents' corner no choice but to throw in the towel and end the contest in the second round, rewarding the club with two out of two victories that night.
January was a quiet month in the boxing calendar, but a match was made and Harvey Love of Legends ABC became the first out in 2024.
