FIRST the good news. The second international break of the season is behind us and Plymouth Argyle are back in Championship action at Cardiff City tomorrow.
Now the bad news. It is only another three weeks until the third international break of the 2024/25 campaign. Wayne Rooney's Pilgrims have six games over a 22-day period during that time. Argyle clinched three consecutive victories at Home Park during their last block of matches, beating Sunderland (3-2), Luton Town (3-1) and Blackburn Rovers (2-1), while losing 1-0 away to both West Bromwich Albion and Burnley.
They are in 14th position in the Championship going into the next block of games, with four of them against teams currently in the bottom seven of the table. Only one is against a current top 10 opponent, away to fifth-placed Leeds United at Elland Road.
Here is a look at those forthcoming fixtures between now and Saturday, November 9.
