ROADWORKS are said to be causing chaos as drivers are 'ignoring' diversion signs and endangering themselves and residents.
Persimmon Homes began work on Monday to install a new retaining wall along the Ridgeway in Plympton and a road closure has been put in place.
The stretch from Maddock Drive to St Maurice View will be closed 24 hours a day for eight weeks while the work is being completed.
The contractor, Brad Bolitho Ltd, will be on site from 7.30am to 6pm Monday through Friday to ensure the works are completed within the designated time frame.
