MORE than a third of 10 and 11-year-olds in Plymouth are either obese or overweight.
One in five Year 6 children in the city (20.2%) were obese in the 2023/24 academic year, according to the latest figures from the NHS.
A further 13.7% of children were overweight, meaning over a third (33.9%) were either obese or overweight. The figures in Plymouth are actually below the England average.
