PLYMOUTH billionaire Chris Dawson could reopen nearly 300 Wilko stores around the UK.
The retail tycoon has said he is looking at locations where Wilko previously traded before the chain collapsed. He said deals on reopening 50 stores are currently "with the lawyers", and he may not stop there.
Mr Dawson is also opening five stores in his The Range chain before Christmas, and has just opened a £200 million distribution centre which will employ 1,500 people.
More The Range stores are expected to open next year too, adding to the 210 currently trading, according to the Plymouth-based firm's recent annual report.
