THE Old Water Works on Taw Marsh, Dartmoor, is being sold at auction. The underground water treatment plant was built in the 1960s but closed in the 2000s.
Located in the middle of Dartmoor, it was sold to private owners in 2014 before being bought by current owners, mother and son Sue Nesbitt and Max Sloper in 2018. However, Sue and Max have decided they cannot commit to the project and have listed it at a guide price of £39,000. It will go to auction if not sold prior.
It occupies an unrivalled setting within the heart of Dartmoor, lying just over one mile from the village of Belstone, having direct access to the open moorland and dramatic tors.
