FOUR senior members of Plymouth Argyle's squad have entered the final six months of their contracts with the Championship club.
They are goalkeeper Callum Burton, midfielder Matt Butcher, defender Brendan Galloway and wing-back Mickel Miller. As it stands, all of them could leave Home Park as free agents in the summer.
Galloway and Miller have had past injury issues but they have both played regularly for the Pilgrims recently and impressed with their performances. Here is an assessment of the current situation surrounding these four players.
CALLUM BURTON
BURTON stepped into the first team at a crucial time last February after highly-rated goalkeeper Mike Cooper suffered a serious knee injury which ruled him out for the rest of the League One campaign.
Burton played an important part as the Pilgrims went on to clinch promotion and the title with 101 points.
However, the 27-year-old as played just twice this term, in the Carabao Cup ties against Leyton Orient and Crystal Palace in August.
Burton has mostly been the backup to summer signing Conor Hazard, but during the time after Cooper had recovered from his torn ACL and before he suffered another knee injury, he became the third choice 'keeper and did not make the matchday squads.
