What will it take for Argyle to stay in the Championship?
The Herald|April 30, 2024
PLYMOUTH Argyle’s hopes of staying in the Championship will come down to their season-ending game against play-off hopefuls Hull City at Home Park on Saturday, writes Chris Errington.
What will it take for Argyle to stay in the Championship?

Bottom-of-the-table Rotherham United have already been relegated. Huddersfield Town in 23rd are as good as down, although there is still a very slim mathematical possibility they could avoid the drop, which would have to include them winning by a wide margin at promotion-chasing Ipswich Town in their last match.

Blackburn Rovers in 19th position and 20th-placed Sheffield Wednesday are both on 50 points and while not safe yet a series of results, including their own, would all have to work out against them for either club to finish in the bottom three. So the most likely scenario is that one of Argyle or Birmingham City will join Rotherham and Huddersfield in League One for the 2024/25 season.
