WFI chief a predator, says minor wrestler's dad in FIR

AN FIR lodged at the behest of a minor wrestler has made graphic allegations against Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Seven women wrestlers submitted a complaint of sexual harassment at the Connaught Place Police Station against the WFI chief on April 21. The police, after the Supreme Court’s intervention, registered two FIRs on April 28.

The first FIR pertained to allegations levelled by a minor that has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act along with relevant sections of the IPC concerning outraging modesty. The second one has been registered over complaints by adults pertaining to outraging modesty.

Both the FIRs were accessed by this newspaper.
