The alignment for the development of the Kollam-Theni National Highway (NH 183) has been finalized, with plans to widen the existing highway to four lanes. During the second-quarter meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) in Kollam, the NHAI officials announced that a notification for land acquisition will be issued in three weeks. They also indicated that financial approval for the project will be secured soon, provided the necessary procedures are expedited.
