Govt targets ₹25k cr investments with new tourism policy

TOURISM, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh unveiled the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Policy 2024-29 at the Tourism Investors' Conference held in Vijayawada on Tuesday.

The event, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (AP Chambers), marked a significant step towards revitalising the State's tourism sector. Highlighting the government's ambitious tourism plans, Durgesh said, "The main objective is to attract investments worth ₹25,000 crore under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The policy offers comprehensive opportunities across various sectors, including temple, adventure, eco, village, wellness and agricultural tourism."
