Former President Donald Trump on Monday announced his decision to pick Ohio Senator JD Vance as his running mate. The made the announcement on his social media platform Truth Social.
"After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J D Vance of the Great State of Ohio," he said.
Vance is married to an Indian-American lawyer Usha Chilukuri, who has her roots in Andhra Pradesh. They first met at Yale Law School in the 2010s and married a year after graduation. They have three chldren, two boys and a girl.
