The decision was hailed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as 'pathbreaking'. The Prime Minister. responding to a tweet by Home Minister Amit Shah's office in this regard, posted: "A pathbreaking decision, which will give wings to the aspirations of our youth! This is a part of our various efforts to ensure language is not seen as a barrier in fulfilling one's dreams."
The decision has been taken at the initiative of the Union Home Minister to give impetus to participation of local youth in the CAPF and encourage regional languages.
