The event, organised by the Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum (ITLF), was held at Peace Ground in Tuibuong with a massive silent rally and a total shutdown as part of the day's proceedings.
The ITLF, after holding an emergency meeting on Saturday, confirmed that the post-mortem reports of the deceased had been reviewed by forensic and legal experts, and found to be satisfactory.
"Our 12 martyrs will be laid to rest with the greatest of honour and respect," the organisation announced in a public notice.
