ComfortDelgro's first-half earnings up 21.4% to $95.3m

Transport operator ComfortDelgro (CDG) reported on Aug 14 a 21.4 per cent increase in first-half 2024 earnings to $95.3 million, from $78.5 million in the same period a year ago.

Revenue for the period rose 13.7 per cent to $2.1 billion from $1.9 billion in the year prior, driven mainly by new acquisitions and increased contributions from existing businesses.

The United Kingdom-based CMAC, acquired in February 2024, drove up first-half 2024 revenue for CDG's other private-transport business, sending it 149.6 per cent higher to $173.5 million from $69.5 million in the first half of 2023.
