Ahead of the high stakes Assembly elections in Jharkhand, the political atmosphere in the state has intensified with both Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) claiming seats from the BJP.
According to RLD, led by Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary, who recently entered into the political contest in Jammu Kashmir Assembly elections, is keen to contest on 20 seats in Jharkhand. RLD General Secretary Trilok Tyagi said that the party is keen to contest on 20-22 seats and that they are in touch with their NDA partners.
"We are in an alliance with the NDA at the centre and we expect that our demands for 20 seats in Jharkhand would be considered.
We are hopeful that there will be alliance between RLD and BJP in Jharkhand as well. But if we don't get respectable seats, we might contest alone", he added.
