Cops empty pond to look for body parts of Shraddha
The Times of India Mumbai|November 21, 2022
The Delhi police team probing Shraddha Walkar's killing made a third attempt to recreate the crime scene by taking Aaftab Poonawala to their rented flat. Officials also began to empty a local pond to search for her body parts. So far, over 17 bones have been recovered from various places. The police team that is in Mumbai started quizzing people known to Aaftab. While the Poonawalas are not traceable, the possibility of them having been moved to safety by cops has not been ruled out.

3 wks after murder, Aaftab had got 37 boxes moved from city to Delhi home

Mumbai: Aaftab Poonawala, accused of murdering his live-in-partner Shraddha Walkar in their south Delhi home, had moved the household items from their Vasai home that the couple shared three weeks after the May 18 murder.

The Delhi police, who are in Vasai since Friday in connection with the case, have found that Aaftab (28) had abruptly moved to Chhatarpur Pahadi in Mehrauli in May from his White Hills Society, Evershine City, Vasai (east) flat. The rent agreement was coming to an end in August 2022.

On June 5, he contacted the Goodluck Packers and Movers in Mira Road to move his household items to the Delhi flat. He made an online payment of Rs 20,000. Govind Yadav of the company said there were 37 packages, including washing machine and household items. The owner of the flat was asked to inspect the packing. Police have taken the statement of the owner. The couple, who had started living together from 2019, had moved to three flats in Vasai region.
