Mumbai:
Sukoon Nilaya Palliative Care Centre, which is located in the King George V Memorial campus in Mahalaxmi, has helped around 1,000 patients with either inpatient and outpatient care over the last two years.
“Palliative care in India is woefully inadequate. The little that exists is focused on survivors of cancer. We set up Sukoon Nilaya to provide this much-needed service to non-cancer patients,’’ said Dr Eric Borges of the KGVM Trust that manages the King George V Memorial.
