Mahagathbandhan partner Congress has urged its allies JD(U) and RJD to look into the criminal charges and court proceedings against Bihar law minister and RJD MLC Kartik Kumar, which caused a massive row soon after his induction into the Nitish Kumar-led cabinet on August 16.
Bihar Congress incharge Bhakta Charan Das told TOI on Saturday that necessary steps should be taken after taking the views of all Mahagathbandhan constituents. "We should not blindly tolerate everything," Das emphasized.
Das said he would discuss the matter with CM Nitish Kumar as well as his deputy, RJD de-factor leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, if he get an opportunity to meet them during his Patna visit on August 24. "The accusations against the RJD leader, including criminal charges or remaining consecutively absent from court proceedings or avoiding summons, cannot be simply ignored. We need to take stock of the situation as the controversy due to it is unwarranted," he said.
