New Delhi: While Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has begun the process to admit students to the College of Art even without the latter having completed its de-affiliation from Delhi University yet, there is growing concern among academics that the other colleges fully funded by Delhi government could go the same way as the art institution.
Several professors worried what it meant for such colleges that 'rule of might' was prevailing instead of rule of law. Professor and former DU Executive Council member Rajesh Jha maintained, "The rule of law is being replaced by the rule of might and chaos is bound to happen. In the past, in other instances we saw the education ministry intervening. But in this case, even the ministry is silent."
