‘BJP Ended Curfew Era Of Cong In Guj’
Cong left no stone unturned in insulting Patel, says Shah

Ahmedabad Vadodara/ Anand: Union home minister Amit Shah claimed on Tuesday that Congress did everything possible to insult India’s Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and that it had started praising him only now because of the Gujarat assembly elections. He also reiterated that BJP has put an end to ‘curfew era’ which prevailed in the state during the Congress regime in Gujarat.

Addressing a rally in Ahmedabad, Shah alleged that successive Congress governments dragged their feet over the Narmada dam project because Sardar Patel’s name was connected with it. “Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation of the project even before I was born. I am now 58 years old. After Nehru, there was Indira Gandhi, then Rajiv Gandhi and then Sonia Gandhi, but the project kept lingering because Sardar Patel’s name was connected to it,” he said.
