Hyderabad: India won the three-match T20I series against Australia on Sunday but skipper Rohit Sharma still has a few issues to iron out going into the T20 World Cup next month. A perfect team man, the Mumbaikar chose to back his players who were off-colour in the series.
Three issues dominated Rohit's media interaction after the six-wicket win over Australia. One was the form of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel.
"Coming back from an injury is never easy," Rohit said. "He (Harshal) missed cricket for close to two months. So we've not judged him on how he has performed in these three games because we know his quality.
It's important to keep showing that faith. In the nets, whenever we have our training sessions, he's always working on his skills. I'm pretty sure he's not far from his best," Rohit said.
