Justices Sanjay Gangapurwala and Shriram Modak heard the petition by Ila Popat (66) to quash and set aside the December 31, 2019, order of the collector (suburbs) that rejected her citizenship application. "You are a stateless national by birth. You have not (sic) any valid passport and visa. Therefore you are not fulfilling the condition of the Indian Citizenship Act, 1955," it stated.
