Work on 1.4km east flyover to start from Oct 11, will ease border woes

The Public Works Department is likely to start construction of the 1.4km flyover from Anand Vihar to Apsara border on October 11. Officials said PWD minister Manish Sisodia and Delhi assembly speaker Ram Niwas Goel would be present at the foundation laying ceremony as it is the latter's assembly constituency.

PWD officials said this flyover would make commuting from Delhi to NCR cities of Noida and Ghaziabad easier. The department had issued the tender for the six-lane flyover in May and after going through financial bids and other vetting processes, the work was awarded last month.
