When I first heard about the DJI Pocket 2, I immediately imagined that it was some kind of photography drone. Obviously, that happened because I associated DJI with its range of drones, but I was surprised to discover that while I wasn't looking, the company has expanded its reach and is now making several other cool cameras and accessories.
Starting at around 310, the DJI Pocket 2 Is arguably one of the best—or at least one of the most interesting— uses of the money in your photography budget. As discovered, it's not a drone at all, although the technology in the Pocket 2 does overlap with some of the features of DJI’s famous drones.
The Pocket 2 is essentially a variation of the camera on a stick,” which is a concept that I've been noticing more and more these days. might have even been inclined to dismiss these gadgets as YouTuber cameras" because assumed that only YouTubers would need to constantly hold a camera out at arm's length and record themselves talking, but that was just due to a failure of imagination on my part.
In reality, the Pocket 2 is just as much of an action cam as it is a vlogging cam, and it can even take decent still photographs. Let's take a look at what this versatile camera can do, how and when you can use it, and whether it might be a good choice for you.
Once you get past the unfortunate marketing hype I challenge you to not roll your eyes at a statement like create share-worthy content”), you'll see that this camera is built to do some really cool things, in addition to following Social Media Influencers on their Life Journeys. As mentioned before, this is essentially a camera on a Stick, but it’s a particularly capable camera on a particularly hightech stick. It's comprised of a small camera mounted atop a 3-axis motorized gimbal, which in turn is attached to a multifunctional handle.
