Various telemetry and radar stations positioned along the eastern coast of India tracked and monitored the missile’s flight path. The vehicle followed textbook trajectory, meeting all mission objectives with very high level of accuracy. Agni-P is a new generation advanced variant of Agni-class of ballistic missiles. It is a canisterised weapon system with a maximum payload-capacity of 1.5 tonnes and a range of up to 2,000 km. This was the last developmental trial of the weapon system. The Strategic Forces Command (SFC) of the Indian armed forces is now getting ready to conduct user trials of the missile before its mass production and induction begins over the next few months.
