Dominant Archibald return for at National 10

Scot takes men's prize while Kate Allan is the women's victor

After winning silver on the track last month at the Commonwealth Games John Archibald returned to the domestic time trial scene in dominant style at the National 10-Mile Championship.

Archibald last won the National 10 in 2018. But he returned in style on Sunday, posting a personal best time of 17 minutes and 53 seconds to win by 44 seconds from his nearest challenger.

“From a long way out I didn’t look at the National 10 as a particular target for me, but after the Commonwealth Games I began to focus on it more,” said Archibald. “It was a shame to miss the National 25 as these are all great events and I would ride them all if I could.
