DANCE IS STRUTTING HER STUFF

As we go into the final quarter of the flat turf season there are still plenty of questions to be answered and the York meeting in August will go some way to finalising the champions in various divisions.

The Betfred St Leger festival at Doncaster is always a week worth looking forward to and the main event itself on September 16 could be one of the better renewals of the year.

At the time of writing, ante-post favourite Gregory is set to run in the Great Voltigeur alongside Bahrain Trophy winner Castle Way and the Aidan O'Brien trained Continuous although the Ballydoyle maestro is also straining at the leash to let the highly-rated Alexandroupolis take his place as well although the son of Camelot has been slow to come to hand following an injury in the first quarter of the season.

Castle Way had the run of the race at Newmarket and I am not so sure that he is crying out for a stamina test over an extended mile and three quarters at the Town Moor track, while you could argue that Gregory will need even further in time and in fact strikes me as a Cup horse for next season.
