The Wales prop is a force of nature, despite her tender years

THE BLOODLINES are strong. Father Sione won 29 caps for Tonga. Brother Kepu is making waves in the London Irish academy and with England U18. Cousin Carwyn is starting to break through at the Scarlets.

Yet even in a family blessed with talent, the game-changing ability and barrier-breaking potential of Sisilia Tuipulotu manage to stand out. “I believe she can be one of the best props in the world,” Wales head coach Ioan Cunningham enthuses of his young front-row star. You cannot disagree.

The prop might already be threatening that sort of tag. The first two weeks of the Women’s Six Nations brought three tries, a combined carrying tally of nearly 150 metres and consecutive Player of the Match awards. “Sisilia’s development has been brilliant over the last six weeks with us,” Cunningham adds. “I still think she’s got a lot of potential and growth left in her. We are delighted with her.”
