EFL PONDER BLANKET BAN AS BOSSES SPEAK OUT

There are four international breaks during the EFL season - in September, October, November and March.

Under the current regulations, all Championship fixtures are postponed automatically. League One and League Two proceed as normal, but individual clubs can request a postponement if they have three or more players called up to represent their country. This includes Under-21 fixtures.

Historically, only a handful of games would be postponed by request, but recent years have seen that number climb into double figures.

This weekend, seven games were called off in League One, plus two in League Two.

Last month, the entire League One programme consisted of just two fixtures.
