DERBY County defender Craig Forsyth says Jerry Yates' recent hot streak is just reward for the striker's selfless displays.
Signed on loan from Swansea in the summer, Yates scored just once in his first 11 games for the Rams but never lost his place in Paul Warne's starting XI.
And that faith has paid off over the last fortnight with the waspish 28-year-old netting in three successive games before being forced to sit out Wednesday's 2-1 defeat against his parent club.
"It took Jerry a while to get up and running but I think everybody within the squad appreciated the work that he did off the ball and for the team," said Forsyth, whose side face Sheffield Wednesday at Pride Park this afternoon.
"He's one of those players where a lot of the things he does don't always get noticed or show up in stats.
