MILLWALL manager Gary Rowett says newlook Norwich will be back amongst the promotion contenders this season.
Championship winners in 2019 and 2021, the Canaries struggled on their return to the division last season, eventually finishing 13th.
But 14 summer signings and the appointment of a proven manager in David Wagner have renewed optimism at Carrow Road, and Norwich welcome the Lions to Norfolk this lunchtime aiming to protect an unbeaten start to the campaign.
“I think they’re certainly going to be one of the stronger teams this year,” said Rowett, whose side beat Middlebrough 1-0 on the opening day before losing by the same scoreline to Bristol City at The Den last weekend. “If you look at their squad and their options, and the players they’ve brought in, then I think they’re going to be competing a lot higher up the table than they did last season.
