Once the Bees levelled just before the hour mark with a Callum Stead precision header, Barnet were in an uncompromising mood and were determined to record their seventh consecutive league victory and their sixth on the trot at the Hive.
“We were a little bit sloppy in the first half, but tactically we were very good today, although they made it very hard for us,” Bees boss Dean Brennan admitted.
“We went one down but we had the patience and we showed the quality and that was most impressive. It could have been a very frustrating day.”
“Our standards, our focus and mentality was right. All in all we put in a very strong performance. We have the quality and I want us to be relentless.”
