We're aiming to be more clinical - Evans

Second row Georgia Evans says competition for places at the London club is higher than ever and the 27-year-old Wales international feels she must be on her A-game if she is to retain her place in the side.

Following their semi-final loss at home to Bristol Bears last season, threetime winners Sarries bounced back straightaway this term illustrating their title aspirations with five opening wins on the spin, including triumphs over back-toback champions Gloucester-Hartpury and their post-season conquerers Bristol.

Evans, below, told The Rugby Paper: “This season’s been really good so far. I’ve enjoyed it as an individual as it’s really challenged me. We’ve got loads of strength and depth within our squad. So, I’ve got to make sure that I keep putting my best foot forward to get on the pitch and to get a starting shot. I love the style of play at Saracens. I love how together we all are this season and how we’re pushing forward.

“We do a lot of reflecting here, especially over the last two seasons.
