Headphones are, after all personal, that 'sought after device' promising hours of music and movie engagement. Couldn't have asked for more excitement, as the new DT 700 Pro X headphones from Beyerdynamic were delivered exclusively for review! Looks quite a sibling from the Pro series, right-away! It's the same outlook, large grey earpads, the same broad headband at first glance. Wait! The difference lies in these details: new drivers (Stellar.45), the removable XLR cable, better construction, of course and most of all, better sensitivity specs! You could now even use these headphones without the need of a high-power amplifier!
The Beyerdynamic DT700 Pro X is the updated version of its DT770 Pro, positioned as one of the most sought-after headphones for the music aficionado! Being closed-back, it is designed for noisy environments or crowded places, branded with its USPs for being 'detailed, powerful and vibrant' by its German creators. Staying signature in design and top-notch build that's four decades old now, it looks evolved minutely, with each generation, improving in ergonomics and overall comfort. They feel like the 'reference' and are incredibly sturdy to take on some rough handling as well! These cups are made of strong plastic, the headband of spring steel, probably? Yes, now the cable can be replaced too! Obviously, this won't be the same for its velour ear pads. But then those can also be replaced! Identical to the previous sibling, it now comes with a mini-XLR termination. There is no balanced option but that's common for a "professional headset", where balanced options are not that common for this kind of use.
