They're surrounded by some of Tinseltown's biggest stars, yet when it comes to T hobnobbing with Hollywood's elite, Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have tended to keep their distance. Until now.
The couple made a surprise appearance at charity event One805, hosted at the home of Oscar winner Kevin Costner, who lives near their California property, sparking speculation they're trying to win over A-listers in the film and TV industry.
The pair presented awards at the event, which raised around $3 million for emergency workers, and were also seen mingling with other celebrities who live in the Santa Barbara/ Montecito area, including Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.
One local says, "Meghan and Harry moved here in 2020 during the pandemic and people have been disappointed by their lack of engagement within the local community. They are invited to things but never turn up. It's fantastic they've chosen to honour this wonderful charity and it's great to see them."
