Tom Bower’s shock exposé - SECRET LIFE OF THE SUSSEXES

It was the Oprah Winfrey interview that did it. Investigative journalist turned bestselling biographer Tom Bower watched, aghast, as Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex dropped bombshell after bombshell as they bemoaned life as members of Britain’s royal family in the infamous TV chat with the US talk-show queen in March 2021.
By the end, Tom, 75, who has written more than two dozen books including unauthorised biographies of Richard Branson, Robert Maxwell, Tony Blair, Boris Johnson and Simon Cowell, was so horrified by “the utter lies”, he decided the Sussexes would be the subjects of his next tell-all exposé. And the result is a book that is almost explosive as the interview that got Tom, a self-confessed “critical monarchist”, all riled up in the first place.
Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors has caused shockwaves with claims such as the Queen was glad Meghan didn’t come to her husband Prince Philip’s funeral; that Meghan clashed with Harry’s mates over their sense of humour and that the Sussexes were “festering with fury” when their request to play a more prominent role in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations were denied.
Allies of the Sussexes have refuted many of the claims and some reviewers have labelled the book as “a hit job”, but Tom doesn’t buy that. “If anyone thinks it’s a hit job, it’s because they’re sympathetic to Meghan and think it’s wrong for anything to be said against her. What I have done is present all the evidence and it’s up to people to read it and decide. I very deliberately took out as many of the negative adjectives as possible so the reader could make up their own mind.”
