Aussie author Brad had a close brush with death in a freefall accident

An s Brad Guy edged closer to the open door of a small plane coasting 4500m above ground, he can still remember saying his last foreboding words before his treacherous fall.

The Melbourne influencer, 32, tells Woman’s Day, “I turned to my tandem instructor and said, ‘I hope my parachute opens.’ Then I jumped. I think about that nearly every single day. Maybe I jinxed myself.”

Within seconds of his skydive – a gift for his 21st birthday – Brad’s parachute became entangled and he was sent barrelling towards the ground.

“I just remember we were tumbling and shaking, like being in the washing machine. I told myself, ‘OK, this is it,’ but I was still overwhelmed with guilt. I could see my family watching me. I had sent them here to watch me die.”
