Rob Irwin's sister backs him as he navigates his break-up alone

She's Australia's most famous big sister and when Bindi Irwin found out her little brother Robert had split from his girlfriend Rorie Buckey, she couldn't have been more proud of her younger sibling for standing on his own two feet and making one of the toughest decisions of his life.

According to a well-placed insider, when Robert and Rorie, both 20, announced in February that they'd split after dating for a little over a year, there was a collective sigh of relief behind the scenes from some of Robert's biggest supporters.

"Robert has very much become his own person, and while he's always been strongly supported by his mum Terri and Bindi, he was adamant from the beginning with Rorie that he wasn't going to be influenced by anyone," says our source, despite Bindi and Terri being Rorie's biggest fans.
