She made her Hindi film debut in the musical romance film Mohabbatein, which earned her the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year - Female.
The Tenant is Shamita's upcoming film which was recently released in theatres. The film which was initially scheduled to release in 2020, got pushed because of the pandemic. During the same time, Shamita appeared in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss OTT and then in Season 15. Shetty earlier also appeared in 3 of the show but haven't won any of them. Shamita also appeared in other TV shows like Jhalak Dikh Laa Jaa 8 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.

Firstly, welcoming you back on Women Fitness India, you have been on our very first cover, how does it feel to be back on board and how do you associate with - Women Fitness.
It feels great to be back on board. Health and fitness have been an integral part of my life, It's my personality. I function better physically, mentally, and even emotionally because I am conscious about what I put into my body in terms of the food I eat. I am also physically taking care of myself and making myself stronger in the gym through my workout.
Reality shows, and music videos what has 2022 been for you like? Your favorite memory from the year?
It's been a wonderful year. There were lots of ups and downs. I've discovered a lot more about myself this year. It has definitely made me a stronger person and as a whole, I think it's been a wonderful year for me mentally, emotionally, and workwise as well.
