Every year, the Ringier Technology Innovation Awards recognize the pinnacle of excellence in new ingredients, processing, and packaging for the F&B industry in China. This year presented a challenging task for the panel of judges, as 82 products/technologies vied for five prize categories. The entries were selected based on their safety, efficacy/performance, cost effectiveness and sustainability. A feature on the winners is on page 6.A few months ago, Ringier Trade Media Ltd and Siemens Digital Industries Software conducted a market study to understand the current needs and requirements of the CPG and F&B sectors in Indonesia. Finally, the results have been collated and analysed in the white paper, Consumer-Packaged Goods Trends and Challenges. On page 20, you will fnd an overview of the survey, as well as download the entire white paper by scanning the QR code on page 23. Our special thanks to the 180 companies that participated in this survey!Also in this issue, we underline the need for better quality and safety measures. In health and nutrition, Euromed’s Andrea Zangara talks about how easy adulterated ingredients can enter the market and impact products.
