Precious has invited Bowie Lam, a famous actor, for our cover. He is dedicated to every performance and has absolute respect to performing arts. His mature and professional acting is generously loved by the audience, and he shares with us his wonderful life as an actor. At the same time, we have invited André Fu for a personal interview. His own tastemaker sensibility reinterprets traditional notions of “East-meets-West aesthetics” in a new hybrid to combine a seamless alignment of cultural
and design sensibilities, modern luxury and craftsmanship. He has a unique interior design style and he is good at integrating daily life details into Asian aesthetics, while having a rigorous pursuit of delicate space planning, so as to transform the space into a masterpiece with emotions, flexibility and interest.

We have also invited Frank Fu, a young entrepreneur, to talk about his visions on establishing international education in China, as well as the development of a medical career. In the field of design, we are honoured to talk to Juan Pablo Molyneux, the world-class interior designer, in person. He was born in Chile, raised and educated in France, and got his fame in the US. Juan is famous for his perfect integration of the tradition and fashion. He was in charge of the repair and renovation of the Pavilion of Treaties in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the public area of Palais Schottenring Vienna. The high-end residencies designed by him are all over the world. He will lead us for a tour of his design works in Paris and Doha, to give our reader a glamourous visual feast.

Echoing our art tour for the month, we have interviewed Mr. Simon Ma, a famous artist, to understand more about his cross-field art creations, and how he becames an inspiration for the young generation through the delivery of arts. In the area of design, we conducted an overseas interview with the world-renowned interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, who is the chief designer of a large number of luxurious restaurants and hotels, so as to bring our readers a global arts perspective. On the other hand, the Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris has just come to an end. The definition of ‘friends’ is apparent in the cover story of this month’s Precious. Since 2013, Art Basel has become an annual event in Hong Kong that brings together the world's top galleries that exhibits both outstanding artworks of up-and-coming young artists and masterpieces of renowned contemporary masters. Being an art enthusiast, Art Basel is the absolute opportunity for me to have cross-cultural experience exchange with various artists, gallery representatives and collectors all over the world.

今年3月，香港藝術界亦非常熱鬧。自2013年開始香港巴塞爾藝術展已經成為一年一度的盛事，匯聚了全世界的頂級藝廊，帶來年輕新晉藝術家以至當代大師的優秀藝術品。對於熱愛藝術的我來說，這是一個很好的機會與藝術家、藝廊代表、收藏家作跨文化的交流。



February is a month filled with love. Love is a beautiful human emotion that includes a variety of forms: the love between family members, the love between friends, the love between a man and a woman. Although the object of one’s love may be different, the common thread is for one to wish one’s beloved all the happiness in the world. If such love can be extended to strangers and to those who need help, then the world will be a better place.

2月，是一個充滿著愛的月份，愛是人類一種美好的情感，它包括的範圍非常廣泛，有親情之愛、朋友之愛、異性之愛，雖然愛的對象不同，但有一個共同的特點，就是以純真的情感去祝福所愛的人。如果能將這種愛推廣至陌生人之間的愛，向有需要幫助的人伸出援手，世界將會變得更加美好。


We open the New Year with a cover story on legendary shoe designer Professor Jimmy Choo, OBE in the January 2016 issue of Precious. Professor Choo’s achievements in the fashion industry over the last few decades are well-documented, but his generosity in imparting his craft to his many students, and his selflessness in contributing to his country and society are just as noteworthy, and definitely an example for young people to model themselves after. We are very grateful to Professor Choo for sharing his story and wisdom with us in Precious.
