Our cover story picks the mind of BOI chief Upul Jayasuriya, as he plots a new path in the Sri Lankan economical landscape. Known for his steadfast decision making Mr. Jayasuriya gives us an inside peek into his plan of investment into Sri Lanka and the pros and cons surrounding such strategies.
Featured also is renowned architect Dr. Naren Perera, a ‘gentle giant’ would be an adequate phrase to coin him up in two words. Dr. Perera became a household name with his eco-friendly architecture, bringing fame to Sri Lanka with his many international awards and accolades, as he reminisces on his school day he reminds us that it was never always a bed of roses, but hard work and a dream of been an architect that propelled him to who he is today.
Our second lead story confirms that sentiment, Chanakya Dissanayake -Head of Copal Amba Sri Lanka. These been the tip of the iceberg in what we have in store for you. These been two stories of two great individuals who’s integrity stands tall, among the rest.

We are a Royal-Thomian collaboration, and it’s the spirit of these two schools which drives us, and come March there is nothing more on anyone’s mind other than the Big Match. The Big Match is a scheduled event in every Royalist and Thomians calendar-that is by default. It is a tradition which in its own unique way unites people through rivalry. Unbroken for over a century, this is not merely another cricket match. While schoolboy cricketers are vying to be part of this great tradition, those who have trodden the same path in yester year look back in pride at their accolades on the field and cherish fond memories that have lasted them a lifetime. Our Big Match edition of The Review is aimed to give you a better understanding of this long standing tradition.
