Unbelievable, isn’t it? 2016 is almost over, and after a long year of waiting, the holiday’s finally more than a yearned-for fantasy! The festive buzz is thick in the air, and everyone’s dashing to get their last few affairs sorted before they can kick back for the year.

And, honestly, what better place to spend the holiday than South Africa? From our glitzy city centres, our sunny shorelines, to our sprawling expanses of natural beauty, there’s just so much to choose from when it comes to your next holiday spot! Of course, being high summer, many people will be spending this particular holiday down by the seaside.

In that spirit, we’ve taken a look at some of the South African shore’s lighthouses. We’ve also made a stopover in the internationally renowned surf spot, Jeffrey’s Bay. Those of you who’d prefer to stay dry this holiday, can join us on our trip further inland, down to the gorgeous historical town of Tulbagh. The nature lovers can come with us to soak up the nation’s natural splendour down at Seweweekspoort Pass.
