Fans have a range of options for watching sport from across the disciplines, online and on screen
CHANGES in the way people watch television and targeting potential viewers on social media are among the reasons thought to be behind strong viewer figures for equestrian sport coverage so far this year.
Jon Wyatt, commercial director at Event Rider Masters (ERM), told H&H viewer numbers for the 2017 series so far are already close to matching those for the whole of last season.
All three phases of each ERM leg are being shown on Facebook Live as well as the live stream for the first time this year.
The production company is also posting clips of action on social media, encouraging people to watch.
“We found that has had a big impact on the number of viewers we have had and how long people are watching for,” Mr Wyatt said.
