Iberico finishes four lengths clear to record fi rst Classic win

GLOUCESTERSHIRE trainer-rider Sam Jukes hailed Iberico’s win in the Lord Ashton of Hyde’s Cup as a big day for himself and owners Clive and Eileen Bennett.
Sam, who is in just his second season training for the Bennetts at Dymock, sent the 12-year-old clear at the third-last fence in the 3m6½f men’s open — the first of the sport’s four “Classics”.
Despite a small stumble after the final obstacle, the son of King’s Theatre passed the post four lengths ahead of Legal Legend.
