The Squibb sisters fight out the 128cm grand prix, while Lily Freeman-Attwood scores a wide-margin win in a 148cm championship
IT proved a family affair for the Squibb family as sisters Eloise, 12, and Tia, 10, took the top two places in the Squibb Group 128cm pony grand prix.
Drawn fifth of eight combinations coming through to the jump-off, Eloise set off like a rocket with Wyndham Tom Thumb to post the winning time of 36.66 seconds.
“He’s on top form and I can’t thank him enough for this win,” said Eloise. “It was a tough course, but I was feeling confident and, as he can turn on a sixpence, I really went for it.”
Tia finished second after a spirited challenge riding Gorm And Ban.
“He always tries his best and we were close,” said Tia.
