There are some things that need fixing and others that are slightly beyond that. With the 6GT, BMW has essentially taken care of a problem that it couldn’t really fix. It still takes a bit of time to get used to, but now it is at the sort of level that the old Panamera used to be at. Long-ish, sleek-ish, but mostly practical without the need for an –ish. Walking up to the 6GT though, is quite alright. It gets a pretty standard BMW face complete with the LED running lamps and kidney grille – more 5-series than 7 though. Walk around and it becomes apparent that the 6GT is big. If you happen to see it in a parking lot, this fact becomes even more apparent. Based on the standard wheelbase of a 7-series and with a fair mix of design cues from the outgoing 5GT and the X6, the 6GT is long with lines that have been sharpened up to make it more coupe-like and less, well, 5GT like. But then again, you may have loved the way that had looked, in which case, I will totally judge you.
